I have a Ford 9N That won't stay running. It starts easily but Won't stay running. You have to play with the choke a lot. Seems to me like it is not getting enough gas. It will stall and it will restart Fairly easy, run for a few seconds and stall again. Even just sitting at an IDle it will just shut down. Any Suggestions?

Mike,

Did you ever solve your problem with your 9N stalling on you? I"m having the same problem so I was wondering what might have worked for you. I recently installed a tune up kit (spark plugs, points, rotor, condenser, etc.) and it runs smooth with a lot of power, but it still stalls out on me. Any help of what you have learned will be much appreciated.

Steve

Check the archives here, and at @ag talk. The subject has been ground to bits every three weeks for the past year. Its probably the screen in the inlet elbow to the carburetor.

Gerald....could you expand on the @ag talk? Where can I find that board. I really learn a lot from this message board and another one would fit my bookmarks just fine!

Thanks....Sam
