Well I mowed the last of my first cutting hay on Monday (10 acres) and its been washed 3 times now.

What do you guys think is it clean enough to bale yet?

Worst part is the rains total .5 inches and we need more rain for the row crops than that.

Looks like rain again.

Gary

Perpetual Rinse Cycle here, now whenever you are just about to finish something while working outside, the automatic dust control comes on, instinctively it seems to know when to put a damper on things.

25 to 30 present of my replanted beans are under water again. I"ve had over 3 inches this week and weathermen are calling for rain the next 4 days. I think my only hope is cowman will come back to Ohio. That was the only dry spell we"ve had.But we don"t have it near as bad as North of here. They had over 12 inches in 2 days. South of here 8 to 9 inches. Sure wish I could send some to Glen in TX .

Last Friday I hurried like crazy to bale some hay I had down because it was supposed to rain Friday night and Saturday morning. Here in Des Moines we got just enough rain to get the truck windows dirty. Its nice not having to mow the yard though.

we just got .2" over in the Amana's, so i'd be happy about what you got. things better turn around soon, or we'll be worst off than last year.

Bearcat Isn't it amazing how spotty the rains are this year,

Coralville got over an inch on wed.

Thats only 8 miles from me.

North of the river 5 miles away they've had over 3" the last two weeks.

South of me 8 miles their worst off than you.

Very very spotty.

extension agent in Eastern Oregon told me 1" of rain will impact the nutritive value of grass hay. He also recommended cutting before it pollinated so the stems still had some value as feed.

So, I would say put it all in the dryer on a low setting, run for bout 30 minutes then take it back out on the field n bale it.

Joel, where you located in eastern OR? I went to school with some Harmons, they owned a local auto wrecking yard in my area.

Joel, I noticed that after I hit post, I miss spelled also.

I am way east of you, 180 mi. east of Portland.
In the Columbia basin. Where it gets *HOT*,looks like we will be getting high 90's and even low 100's in the next couple of days.

SUMMER IS HERE!!!
