I think my engine might be going soon. Every hour of riding, my engine is a 1/4 of a quart low. there are no leaks anywhere, I have cleaned and checked.
There was some pinkish build-up on the spark plug when there never was before.
I have also noticed there is more smoke starting and shutting off. I have blew an engine and that motor really smoked before it went.
I need to know before something bad happens, I drive this tractor for plowing and some pulling almost everyday.
Would anything under the head do with it?

I just gotta get in on this one because I am "frankiee"
I will be frank with you....er.. I will be frankiee with you. I think your engine might be in trouble. I would do a compression test to it and pull the head off and try to see the condition of the cylinder bore and top ring gap.
Put the valves up and wiggle them to see if there is play from side to side.
Good luck with it and be frank with your findings and let us know how it turns out.

H'mm, sounds like maybe the rings are getting bad? My dad and I tinker old lawn tractors from time to time and we see a lot of bad rings because the owners neglect the air filter. Not saying you are doing that, but if you plow often you are using that tractor in dusty conditions, need to keep that filter up, and probably use a pre-filter too...
