This one was a treat. She is running like a champ now. I have a long ways to go but mechanically this 31 Continental powered UC is ready for parades. She was rode hard and put up rode hard.

I've got a set of rear rubber for her. Doug in IL gets those steel rears. Dangit Allan they sort of force their way on to me. I picked up a couple spec tractors a 340 Utility and a 300 Utility both with loaders and need just a bit of work. I like to have a project. Airplane wrenching requires a lot of patience. When I use up that patience and need to hammer on iron I have just what I need in the wings.

I love my job but I am very confined in that I can't get away. I keep my mind (if not my body) exercised tearing these old girls apart and puting them back together.

Bill,

You keep coming up with these 'gems' from time to time. Have you got a warehouse full the old darlin's 'er what? :>)

Nice old tractor! What do you do? Put some kind of fillers on the cleats when you go downtown?

Allan

IIRC those tires are called non-directionals. As least that is what we called them in the Army. You can't tell what direction a vehicle went by looking at the tracks left.

Denman and some others still make the tires. Can get them also from Coker Tire in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Those era tractors were used during some hard times and many just flat wore out when you find them. You'll have a nice one to be proud of soon enough.
