Well I gave the little battery charger a try, 1 amp charger by the way. It worked the fencer but it didn't have much zap. What I ended up doing was takeing an old 6 volt tractor battery I had laying around in the shop and hooking it to the fencer and then hooked the battery charger to the battery to keep it charged up. Its all hooked up now and working and it works maybe to good, LOL. I went around the fence to check that the hot wire wasn't on the other part of the fence and found one or 2 places I needed to fix and a weed on the wire. Well I tried to move the weed with out turning the fencer off and it didn't feel very good, yep zapped me when I touched the weed and that was a good 6 inches down the weed to boot. So maybe the varment will now stop getting in to the chicken pin I hope

That little varmint might wreck the fence the first time he encounters it, but I'll bet he doesn't do it again.
