I have a John Deere 3 bottom plow but it you have to turn a crank to raise it. Is there any way to change it to hyd without cutting a lot?thanks

There never was a plow that you had to turn a crank to lift, either clutch lift or hydrolic. Some were made with a crank for leveling but once you got the plow set to go and leveled you did not touch that crank untill you had to start or finnish a land. Are you confusing a crank assembly that you could put in instead of a cylinder for storage or transport with a tractor without hydrolics or your truck? That is what some of the other posters are refering to.

Hmm. Cutting even less than a cylinder, you could cut the end off the crank, drill the crank just below where you gut it, and attach a hydraulic motor...

Just a thought. Oh, you'll need to weld on some sort of bracket to attach the pump to--but I'd call this process a one-hour job.

You should almost be able to remove the crank and just drop in a cylinder. But with out seeing it that is just a guess but I have done that on brush hogs before.
