Can anyone help me with what is the best thing to soak a frozen up distributor in? I've got a distributor from an old Huber that got some water in it from sitting and is partially frozen up. What can I soak it in to help free it up?
Thanks for the help,
Tom

What I have found is the best to use on rusted up parts, is go to your NAPA store and get several cans of CRC spray carburetor cleaner and keep spraying in and around all the rusted places you can get it. Let it soak overnight and soak it about five or six times a day. Sometimes a light tap or two with a hammer and a little heat on the parts helps after soaking. Hasn't failed me yet. Discovered it last summer while working on some rusted stuff. Another thing I have found that works extremely well is John Deere Engine Cleaner. Don't know why it works but it does. I have tried other kinds of carburetor cleaner but CRC brand seems to work the best. Just keep it as wet as you can, sometimes works faster, sometimes a little slower but it works for me.

If it where me I would use either tranny fluid or turpentine or a mix of the 2.
