Had a real bad day to-day . My wife lost her 30yr. battle with Multiple Sclerosis. The good part is that she slipped away so peacefully. Funny how empty the house is to-night.

My heartfelt sypathies to you and your family. I lost my first wife to cancer after 28 years of marriage. It is dark now, but it will get somewhat better, never great, just better.

I pray that God will give you a special amount of comfort and strength. I know that you will need it, and I also know from experience that He can give it. I've walked through that lonesome valley of the shadow of death, and that is when He became very real and precious to me.

Hey Guys , thanks for the support!! I don't usually bother people with personal stuff , but I just had to get it off my chest. I've tried very hard to be a "rock" for my kids and have kept my feelings inside for many years, just couldn't keep this one bottled up. If you don't mind, I'll report back after the funeral (Wednesday).

730 - Take heart ----- there has been a great deal of advancement in medication and treatment for M.S. in the past few years. While there is still no "silver bullit" there is much more opportunity to keep M.S. in control to-day. I'm so computer illiterate that I don't know how to uncover my email address, but please let me know if you have any questions re. M.S. I've gained a lifetime of hard earned experience in the dealing with this disease and would like to help at any time. Jim

gcs - Please tell your wife to NEVER, NEVER give up the fight!!A positive attitude is so essential in fighting this disease. Just remember that only a very few M.S. patients end up in wheel-chairs or worse. BE POSITIVE !!!

No words can help you, but remember what Christ told the thief on the cross,"Today, you will be with me in paradise". And that is where your wife has gone, she feels the pain of life no more, and some day you will join her at the throne. I am so sorry.

It never ceases to amaze me how powerful the written word can be. Four sentences which convey so simply and beautifully the pain, sorrow, and loneliness you are feeling. You made me feel it too. My prayers are with you and God bless.

Count your blessings you have the normal feelings of loss and emptiness. You don't ever want to also be feeling remorse as well. Guilt from not saying/making peace etc to your Mother when it should have been said before she passed away. Remorse is even worse pain and it's unnecessary.
