I had a good "fun day" yesterday. I drove my WD to the local fair growns in town, about 12 miles.
Our church had a festival and I used my WD to give hay rides. Many people enjoyed seeing the old tractor and commented how it ran good for a 50 plus year old tractor. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much. Then I slowly drove it home and enjoyed every mile.
I for one, enjoy these old tractors.

I am an elementary school teacher and about a month ago I took my '46 John Deere H to school one morning. Our PTO was having their Harvest Sale where they sold pumpkins and other fall decorations. I parked it in front of the school to lend atmosphere to the festivities. The kids got a real kick out of it and several had their pictures taken sitting in the seat. I smiled broadly all day.

Our church had a hayrack ride a couple weeks ago at our place. Sure had fun pulling them around with my 52 Case DC

You hit it right on the nose Duane. Enjoy these old tractors. We took ours out on Saturday afternoon
for a ride. Nothing fast, about half to 3/4 throttle. Just a pleasure to hear those old things purr along. I always laugh to think that something older than me could still run so good.

Yeah, I agree, a cushion helps, must get one someday. It helps too when I swing my left leg back ond put my foot on the step behind the differential. Don't they just sound great when the governor kicks in a little on a hill!!

My cheeks sometimes hurt after driving a WD. Perhaps a better seat cushion would help.

My wife and I will take ours out for a nice Sunday cruise. We live in rural W.Pa. Plenty of back roads to run around on. We moved into the area a few years ago. Nice way to meet your neighbors. The old timers love it.
