Morn'in All. Just wanted to tell my friends here that yesterday morning My 85 yr old Mom died in a semi-head-on car wreck. She went on to be with the LORD and Daddy. Mom, lived like she died, Always on the go, helping her friends, playing piano at 2 country churchs in Sunday, And at the wheel of one of her rag top convertables that she drove. My 2 sisters are extreamly torn up abut it all.
So I request ya'll Prayers for strength and preserverence, HIS protection, that a hedge be placed around my family, and friends, neighbors and all at this time of our loss. She will be sorely missed by all. Thank-you All!
Later,
John A.

John, I'm truely sorry for your loss. There is no words to explain to someone what the loss of a parent is like until it happens... Then no words can describe the pain.

About the only thing I can offer is the rather profound statement my father made to me 2 days before he passed away.

"Just be thankfull you had parents that you'll miss so much. not everyone does".

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there...

John,

I never quite know how to respond to these "bad news" reports.

However, I'd like to tell you that over the past few years I've come to depend on you as a very dependable sounding board and a darned good friend.

Now in your time of need, I just wish there was something I could do to ease your loss and I simply don't know how to do it.

It hurts me that you have been hurt. Just so you know we all are hinkin' of ya,

Allan

John, At 85 and still going so strong it is sad to see her go in that manner but she was called as we will go when we are called. You will start remembering things about her that have been hidden in your memory for years and they will be great to bring her back to you. Cherish the time you shared with her and be thankful that she is in Good Hands now. God Bless and keep your family safe in these troubled times.

John; My sympathy to you and your family! May the good Lord bless and keep her in heaven forever! My mother suffered from the disease Lupus for several years, finally only being able to blink her eyes. I asked the Dr. to pull the plug on the artificial life machines, which he did. I have no regrets, knowing she is also with our Lord! Rusty J.

John A, you have my sympathy. Heres a poem and a bible qoute that helps me in such times of grief.

"What thought the radiance which was once so bright be now forever taken from my sight, though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower, we will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind" From Ode, Intimations of immortality from recollections of early childhood by William Wordsworth.

"Though weeping may endureth through the night, joy cometh in the morning"

John A. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Prayers are going forth. It has been ten years today that my own Mom went to be with the Lord and I still miss her terribly. I fully agree with txgrn, it is horrible to see them suffer the indignities of being confined to a hospital bed. It is also very traumatic for their passing to happen so unexpectedly. Again, my prayers for your family are going forth.

That's what I said about dying when my mother died. Why should a person live a full vibrant life, giving of themselves, and all the good things moms do and then have to end it slowly in a hospital bed, very undignified? It's not right.

John,

I am deeply grieved at your loss. She lived a full life. Look at the bright side. My mother died a slow agonizing death in a hospital bed. Your mom didn't know what hit her....that sort of thing happens so quickly that you don't have time to think. She's better off that way. I know the family is awe struck.

With deepest sympathy,

your friend,

Mark

I lost my father 15 years ago, my mother 2 years ago. I remember when my mother died and I had no parents left thinking to myself, "I wonder if I'll be able to remember everything that they told me I was "supposed" to do. Somehow, everything they taught me soaked in. You too will remember what you are "supposed" to do. After all, you ARE them.
Kindly thinking of you.
