On a 1952 Minneapolis-Moline V Model,..was the radiator and engine painted the same prarie gold as the rest of the tractor..? and if so, was it a high heat protective paint..?

Definitely the engine was the gold color, I'm not sure about the radiator. Most tractors had all-black rads and I think a radiator should be black regardless. The heat is no problem, some people prime the engine parts with high-heat flat paint first but it isn't really necessary. For sure the original ones just used the regular machinery enamel that the tractors were painted with. There might be a very slight discoloration over time but what the heck, it's a tractor right? Your manifolds should be painted with high-heat paint though, I always paint mine flat black and I think they look good.
