Does anyone know where I can find an aftermarket 3-point for a JD 3010?

I know that for tractors only a little older than a 3010, ie 20 and 30 series 2cylinders, the aftermarket parts are pricey---because in the 1950's, farmers were still willing to buy a tractor without one.

By the time the 1961 3010 came out, I'd guess that 90-95% or all tractors sold carried one, so, salvage parts for the hitch should not be as expensive as buying new aftermarket.

That doesn't hold true for the wide front ends, btw.

How is it that your 3010 doesn't already have one, and, does your tractor have at least the ROCKSHAFT???

check out here in the midwest I know that there is a few laying around in yards or down south a couple of yards where parting them out 3pts are not a pouplar item around here since 99.9% of tractors have them and you may get a good deal on one out here.

Try these two places.

Mandako at 1-888-525-5892 (204) 829 3348

Groening Industries 1-888-866-4203 (204)723 2079

Don't know if the 888 numbers work in the US so I included the direct numbers. These three points work OK for things like a bale fork, but are not much good to tillage because they don't have draft control. You MIGHT find one at a wrecker, but don't count on it. They are in big demand in Western Canada and Northern Prairie States.

Good Luck

John

One from a 3010 in a salvage yard would be cheaper and fit and operate better than an after market if one exists
