Wheeeee,

Haven't done that in awhile! Popped a tilt hose on the loader with a full bucket of dirt. Oil went flyin' everywhere! Glad I picked up an extra last winter.

And to think that they just put that hose on there 50 years ago too; shouldn't have gave out yet, should it? :>)

'Spose I oughta go take a bath,

Allan

boy maybe you won't squeak now ..lol glad you are ok..do you eve wonder how the hyd industry get by using those pipe fittings that are rated working pressure 150, have seen new stuff come out with that type fittings on them..worked in natural gas pipeline guess i worry about what happens when they deside to give it up and explode..we could not use anything less than 3000 psi fitting and sch 80 nipples...you cut so much pipe away when you thread them..sch 40 was ok welded...any one ever look at their fittings....have a nice day may god bless

Had a friend of mine get a bath and a half awhwile back while running a Komatsu excavator. In his case it was a 1" line coming off the main pump (rated at 35 GPM). The line had just blown and they had just had a new one made up and for whatever reason the one end wasn't crimped properly, so the first time it got under a load and pressure built the line blew out of it. Bad thing was he had just opened the cabs rear/side vent window and when it came out of the fitting the curve of the line caused it to lay right in the cab with him. By the time he realized what was happening he was already soaked and he bailed out of the cab....only to realize he had to get right back in to shut the machine down. Fortunately the machine hadn't been running but a few minutes when it happened or he would have been severly burned since he caught a stream and not just a spray. Needless to say the place that made the line up jumed through hoops to make it right including enough oil to refill the tank, redoing the machines interior, making another new line, etc etc etc.

Should still be replaced under warranty? No? Forgot IH no longer exists.

Better take the bath. Some oil can be rough on the skin.

Glad you didn't get hurt!

You only got 50 years out of that hose huh? Nothin' last long these days. I'd write the factory and complain.

Remember those old F10s with the rotery valve about shoulder high? Good way to ruin a Stetson hat.

Some years ago I got a Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. Put it in the stand in the shop so the branches could spread. Worked on my brother's log splitter and popped a hose. Went back to get another tree. He asked "didn't you get a tree already? Explained how it got drenched and he sold me a tree at cost. LOL

Allen, looks like you are having the same kind of day as me. Busy as all get out, but not accomplishing much.

Hope your repair goes a little better than mine.

BTW

I have been off for awhile and have lost track of your "farm search". Have you bought one yet or still searching?

Hi Guy,

Is there anyway I could get one of you fellows to take the trip into town and sit in the "wiggle chair" for me? :>)

I'd rather take an old fashioned beatin' than go in there, but 'spose I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and just do it. :>(
