I am trying to find a block heater that will work on a 1958 Ford Dexta 144 ci engine. I got one from Car Quest made by Kat's, pn 78262. It is 1 1/4 " with a flange on it and it will not fit because the flange hits part of the head. Does any one know what will fit on this tractor?

Thanks.

bernie

I see no one has responded yet. I have a Super Dexta 2000. I do not know the differences between this and a '58 Dexta. Anyway I put a lower radiator hose heater on mine. I got it from NAPA. It burnt up so I got a magnetic heater. I like this real well. You'll find lots of uses for the magnetic heater. Sorry that I can't help with a block heater. LOL

I'll give a run at your problem as well. I bought my Super Dexta new and had a recirculating heater installed in the lower rad hose. That was 41 yrs ago and it still works good. It is plumbed into the lower rad hose and runs the water through a 3/4" hose and a small self-contained pump. Couldn't start to tell you who the manufacturer was but it sure works well, even to-day !
