Just picked up a Bobcat 743. As I don't have a service manual yet, I was searching for specs on the internet, so I can change the oil and hyd fluids today. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Craig

I have a 863H and the Bobcat oil I use is 10/30. Thats what the book and the dealer says to use. As far as hyd. fluid goes, I would not want to use anything but hyd. fluid. I have always used the universal type bought at any local supply store and have not had any problems as long as it met the mfg. specs.

I don't know what part of the country your in so engine oil weight depends on your local temp. I run Shell Rotella in my cummins and have had good luck. As far as hyd. fluid, Bobat used to say if Bobcat fluid isn't available use10-30 or10-40 engine oil. However, within the last six months or so they have rethought that and now recomend using only Bobcat hydraulic/hydro. fluid. seems engine oil foams up too much, along with other unwanted effects.
