I have a clark propane forklift that just went dead while i was using it. I have propane up to the line going to the carb. I have fire on all 4 cylinders. Does anyone have any suggestions of things to check. Thanks, in advance for all of your help.

Propane will freeze in the converter/regulator if the engine water is not kept warm and flowing through the convertor. when this happens you will probably see ice on the converter/regulator and will need to let it thaw out and restart. Check for coolant flow by feeling for difference in temp of the inlet and outlet lines of the converter. Also some times the lock off solenoid that shuts off the gas line. It can lose power and will shut off fuel flow. Maybe a broken wire or loose wire or fuse blown. In a few cases the filter in a regulator will clog and the screen will need to be taken out and cleaned. Usually located inside the converter. Be careful and always watch that you don't have a spark that will ignite the unseen vapors!! Gene Davis

That lift has a 12volt lockoff threaded in to vaparizer that is fitted in to water jacket check with a test light to see if you get 12 volt at solinoid with key turned on if you do then remove the low presure line to carb crank over moter and see if propane flows if it does then there is a problem elseware make sure there is no open flames or sparks when you do this test the vaparizer is rebuildable but not worth it as it is worth about 100.0 can there is no ajustments on it there is a kit for the carb the lock off is sold as a unit and make sure to use brass fittings and approved thread sealent call your locall clark dealer with model and serial no to get info on carb set up hope this helps

Will it start by using starter fluid? If it will, you have a fuel problem, maybe the vaporizer.
