Well guys this sure does not look good at all. I thought this thing was suppose to go to FLA. I guess they had their share so now it is our turn. The weather guessers keep saying it will turn northeast but it is still headed straight for us. With this in mind they have closed the schools and are calling for voluntary evacuations now and may update it to mandatory later today.
Guess it is time to finish up preparations and get out.

John - I am really sorry that its aimed at you. Last week all predictions were for it to come right at us in S.W. Florida. So we spent all day Friday boarding up the office. Its amazing what $1800 in materials and six guys working all day can do!
The next town over is still reeling from Charley.

Nice job. Hope you don't need it. Might wanna leave it up till the season is over. Looking over at Africa, all you see is a solid line of them coming..... like planes lined up to come into DFW airport. 1 minute apart as far as the eye can see.

Had house guests from Biloxi, MS. over this past week. They headed home to board up their place. Dunno if the law will let them in or not. Been evacuating the place. They live 1 mile from the beach, and there tain't no seawall..... if you want to call 3' a seawall.

Biloxi is not the place to be. This is looking bad for Alabama, Misssissippi and the west pan handle of Florida. You may have your guests again for a while.

So far they're OK. Called last night.

My guess is it will be Dec 2, which is my service anniversary. I like(d) my job, but now that the decision is made, I'm ready to go do what I want to do.

John,

I am thinking about you, but more-so of my family in Youngsville LA. I have a daughter-in-law 8 months PG, and three beautiful granddaughters in Youngsville. My son is overseas and unavailable to help them right now. Hope this guy Ivan, loses his strength before landfall on Thursday.
