David, I am no mechanic, but when I let my fuel pump freeze and had to remove it the guy marked some kind of timing mark and told me that after the rebuild line up the mark on the tractor to the mark on the fuel pump and it should work. It did. I would guess that your fuel pump timing is off. I would suggest that you go to the Massey Ferguson board and find a post by Big Dean. In many of his posts he gives a link to his web site. He should be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck.

Thank you for the information, Iwill check it out. We found out how to time the pump with the pins in the holes, but it still will not start.

David,

If you believe you have the pump reinstalled correctly then you may have air in the system. Bleed the system again to assure all air is removed. This kind of stuff always gives me fits cause I never know if I did the right thing on the pump and then even if I did and didn't get the air out I am still in trouble. I have had my tractor 27 years and never had a minutes trouble. Maybe because I am very careful with fuel issues or because I know when I am over my head and I search out some help. If you didn't change filters I believe I would and then go through the priming process again. Good luck.

I tink the first thing I would do is get a manual. Is there a reason the timing would be off?
