My M.F. 135 sometime won't stop. I push i the clutch and it keeps going. It does not do this very often. Is the clutch bad?

I had this happen with another brand of tractor. If linkage adjustment per manufacturers instructions do not cure the problem, it is likely that some parts on the pressure plate have come loose. Splitting the tractor is necessary to repair that. Get it fixed- it is too dangerous as it is.

I would apply the brakes, slip the clutch and try to burn the grease and gum off the flywheel and clutch plate. Could be the clutch lining is just sticking to the flywheel. alllllvinnms

Yep! I also subscribe to the KISS principle. If slipping the clutch(as in up against a large tree)does not free up the clutch the next item is to reset the clutch(s) adjustments to proper specs. The last resort is splitting the tractor to replace the clutch, pressure plate, Throw out bearing, and anything else that appears worn. This in not a difficult job with the proper equipment, but it is time consuming. The entire procedure is detailed in the MF135 shop manual.
