I'm looking at an Oliver 1655 tractor with a Vaughn loader attached to it. The loader has been repainted so there's no identifying decals, nor can I find a serial number on it. The loader arms seem small, as do the hydraulic pistons. Wondering if anyone knows anything about Vaughn Loaders, and what one of the smallest might be rated to lift (i.e. large round bales).

Vaughn Loaders, 1421 South State Street, Waseca, MN 56093. (507) 835-2197. At one point, they were a division of Corchran Manufacturing Inc. (also of Waseca), but I don't know it that is still the case.

The Vaughn loaders are built in Waseca, Mn. and are still in business. When I was looking for a used loader, I looked at the Vaugh and they seemed a little to light for round bales. I ended up paying a lot more for a Westendorf loader but it is a heavy loader and handles the bales easily, I have the loader on a 1755 Oliver.

I've had similar thoughts looking at this one. Any chance that you might know the name of the company in Waseca that manufactures Vaughn loaders? Thanks

I don't know the name of the company. I live 35 miles from there and don't get that way very much. I checked the phone book and no Vaughn Co. listed. It is a small company and I believe the owner builds his own loaders himself. Good Luck
