Massey Harris Needs Help

Well, after a year of work I started my Massey Harris 555 today. Ran for 10 min. before it broke a valve. Need a Head!! Please help, Call 615-368-7503

why do you need a head ? they can take a real pounding and still be fixed .did the valve bust or the keeper come off?and drop down?

Tractor hasn't run in 18 years since my grandfather passed away. #1 cyl was stuck and the valve had slight pitting at base of stem. I thought the pitting would be fine. I replaced #1 cyl. liner, installed used piston. (My grandfather had it rebuilt in the 60's installed 4 5/8" dome pistons ) Stem broke and punched a 2" hole in head. Non-repairable, and it ran so good for 15 minutes.
