We went out today looking for a mower that we had seen before that was for sale. Didn't find it but so we went to the local Ugly Green dealer and found a very nice Mac don 4000 9 ft. mower. Its in good shape only used by a little old Lady from Pasadena to mow her lawn.

PS Pics and test next week.

I really don't know much about the 4000. But, if it is anything close to my 5020 Mac Don that I bought last summer it is just one heck of a well designed piece of equipment. i just mowed 20 acres today and the only complaint that I had was my knees got stiff because I never had to push the clutch in or get out and unplug anything. Neighbor stopped by and remarked how his New Holland is such a rattle machine compared to the Mac Don. Those steel timed crimp rollers are so much smooother running while providing a better conditioning of the hay. Good Luck

Dan, I'm sure glad to hear that this a new machine to me so i'm in the dark about it. So far what I found online and what I see looking at it I also a happy camper.
It looks like it should get the job done in pretty heavy stuff. will find out as soon as this weather breaks.

Sounds like that car I bought that was only driven on Sundays, a quarter mile at a time.
