I sell tractors, primarily for one person, on eBay. He recently bought this one and we're going to be listing it shortly.( I hope my photo comes through right!) The problem is that we're not sure which model it is .... or year, although the most current patent date shown is 1923. From what I 've found out, I'm assuming it's a model "F" but would like to verify with some of you more experienced Fordson folks. Whatever information you would have would be helpful. The serial number on the block is 532961. Thank you very much!

I appreciate the quick reply, Roger. I assume that's the production date. Does anyone know the model ..... is it a model F ?

Fordson Model F in reply to Roger., 08-05-2004 06:50:10
I agree with Roger; my Fordson production matrix indicates a Sept. 1925 production date for your Model F. Looks like a good solid tractor; the fenders are a plus, even if with a slight wrinkle. Many farmers removed the fenders because they tended to vibrate quite a bit...

When you list it, be sure to take photos from all angles, as potential bidders will be interested in a number of factors: what type of carburetor/vaporizer and manifold; whether or not it has a belt pulley, with or without a lever to engage/disengage it; type of drawbar & its condition; whether the fuel tank is solid; and how the radiator looks, to name just a few things...

You might also want to mention that the coil box is missing its top and contains no coils, just in the interests of "caveat emptor."

Good luck with your auction!

Kind regards from Maine! Now I have to go out and spray those potato bugs!
