Recently aquired a toolbox thatI was told may not be authentic Fordson.I will discribe to the best I can the differences betwen the box I have and one I saw that belongs to a friend 1- The Fordson name on the top of the box is not script and is (1 5/16")long.
My friend said it should be Fordson script and be (2 1/8") 2-The other difference is there larger rivets on the clasp on top and two rivets in front face upper corners as well as on the back upper corners

I may not have made my self clear trying to explain what I have is a box stamped with a Fordson impresion that is not Script on the top, the impressed name is 1 5/16 " long and has rivets on the face front upper corners and rear back upper corners. All other dimentions seem to be ok.I hope this helps to explain what I am trying to define. Any help you can give is appreciated.

Robert,
Sounds as if you have and early Fordson Box in the 1918 vintage. Don't worry about having an aftermarket Fordson tool box. There are more original tool boxes left than Fordson tractors. What year is your tractor?
