I recently purchased a group of ford tractors and in this group there is a early fordson with the hamilton rear and bosch mag conversion. The motor is loose with good compression. My question is: How rare is this conversion? Is it worth the trouble to restore or do I sell it and look for that Ford jubilee that I really want? I live in a city so the steel wheels would take some modifications to be able to use it.

Roger,
The Hamilton rear end on your Fordson is not something you run across at most shows, Ford/Fordson or otherwise. As for the Bosch mag, a nice addition but, they are out there and not nearly as much as a head turner as the Hamilton. If the engine is free and appears to have good compression, I'd take a shot a getting running. Most Ford/Fordson collectors would be proud to display this piece. The 53 Jubilee is something you'll run into sooner or later either at a show or in an add somewhere. Guaranteed, The Fordson/Hamilton is a much more rare piece and should generate a fare amount of interest. Don't make any hasty decisons. Do the research first.
Good Luck, Ron

HI Rodger , I would be interested in your fordson if you want to sell it. could you let me know? Iam looking for a Fordson for my sons and I to restore, I found a regular Fordson but its very rusty, Iwould rather put are time in something a little different. yours sounds really neat. thanks for your time, Keith 440-428-9620

My dad has a fordson he would probably sell. It is on full steel with fenders, loose, but not running. Located southern Ohio. 937-402-0790
