My Rear hydraulics will lift my Box Scraper with no apparent problem and no bleed down but will not lift a round 500kg. hay bale more than an inch or two off the ground (using a 3pt. bale spear.) Is this normal? If not, what is my problem? with no load the arms go all the way up.

I have a '53 that lifts implements fine but won't lift a similar size round bale. Looked in a couple of books that I have and couldn't find any lift capacities...but I am sure someone out there knows the answer.
