I made a mistake and run my deisel out of fuel and a friend was trying to get it running, i think he used to much either because it blowed the brass gaskets out on the pre-combustion chamber. Well i put new one's on and got it to running but now it is pushing oil out the dip stick i mean a bunch of oil and the breather pipe is smoking and oil is coming out there to. Please tell me it's something simple, not the head or head gasket. Please help !!!!

Have a friend with Cockshutt with perkins , tried to start with either, blew piston apart and cannot find parts to repair, said sounded like a shotgun when it blew

When you used ether you may as well put a death wish out for your engine. It sounds like you have busted a piston or pistons and maybe some rings. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but ether is a no no in the perkins. Ask Burrhead he's the expert on this, he'll tell you.

Hello Capp. I don't know about expert but I have fixed many because of ether.

I would bet a dollar against a donut hole that at least one piston skirt is cracked between the botton 2 rings.

And I'll "Amen" that Dr. Burrhead. How you been doing, haven't heard of word from you in a long time. Take care.

pretty good Capp. Hope you and yours have been alright. Been busy with my son and baby setting g-kiddoes.

If you have any of that mountain air extra could you send me a bushel. It's going around 100 here already I can hardly wait for August.
