identifying a supermajor?...

I want to buy a manual, but those listed don't seem to give me enough info to be sure which I need. These are the numbers I have found (all are cast -raised - in the metal, not stamped):

Left of engine, on "barrel" ahead of clutch housing: EIADKN 7007F T1

Just above clutch lever (where it goes into the "block"): 0207

Right side of engine, above simms pump(?) on cylinder head(?) 605J J3167

On cross member/chassis(?) below radiator, at front of engine: 50200 J4 A303

I'd really like to know exactly how to refer to this tractor (year etc) so I can get the right manual and look up stuff about it. It is now painted blue, with orange wheels, the front ones being cast wheels. Hydraulics are run when pto is going (depress clutch all the way to put pto on, half way to change gear). The Ford vintage tractors serial number site seems to refer to N series and 1000 series etc, but nothing I recognise.
Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

I will quote from my IT manual: "On early tractors the serial [engine] number is stamped on the flange of the flywheel housing near the starter mounting..... ..Effective with tractor [engine] Serial number 1380939, the serial number is located on a pad at the right hand side of the engine cylinder block..... ..In November, 1961, the serial number designation was changed from a 7 digit number to a six digit number with prefix and suffix." If your Simms injector pump says "minimec" on the side, that will help narrow it down. Numbers beginning with EA1__ are part numbers, I believe. If you find what you believe to be the right number, post it or email me. Russ

Hi Russ, thanks for your response.
I had one last look at the tractor and found 2 more numbers. One is on what seems to be a tiny plate above the exhaust manifold (it is all covered in blue paint, so may be part of forging). The letters are raised and if it IS a plate it seems the plate may have been riveted on, otherwise there are slight bumps where letters/digits have been knocked off. The remaining number visible on this raised "plate" is 20 3 63. There MAY be a trace of a 3 or an 8 at the beginning, but it may be nothing. The other number I found is below the diesel pump on the engine block: EIADDN 6015 - E T1.
I'm curious about these "T" numbers. I cannot find any number that relates to your 7 or 6 digits with pre/suff-ixes. Even the above "plate" has a maximum of 6 if I include the missing first number, and seven if I assume there was a number at the end. Still not enough digits/letters?
Also, I can only find Simms on the diesel pump - except for a number beginning with P which I have not recorded.

I made some mistakes in reading the numbers in the dark by torch light.

Corrections as follows:
Left of engine, on "barrel" ahead of clutch housing: EIADKN 7007F T1

Just above clutch lever (where it goes into the "block"): 0207
SHOULD BE: C 20 J

Right side of engine, above simms pump(?) on cylinder head(?) 605J J3167
THE FIRST 6 COULD BE A 5

On cross member/chassis(?) below radiator, at front of engine: 50200 J4 A303
SHOULD BE: EIADDN 5020 C T4 A30J

In addition I have now found these extra numbers:
Under seat: EIADDN 501
On A-frame to front axle: EIADDN 3417A

Thanks for what you sent, Rod.
A couple of things...
1. The format you sent WILL not fit on A4 print, no matter what I try.
2. It is virtually illegible.
3. You have the original, legible copy , and you know what my numbers are (note I made a mistake with my original serial no.s, but a corrected version has now been posted)and where they are on the tractor. Can YOU find my number in what you sent. I can't.
4. The page you sent has a pre-amble saying "...tractors manufactured in England and imported to the United States...". This makes me wonder if my tractor may not be among them since mine is in the UK.
5. The same preamble refers to "...starting with approximately serial no. 1260402." As far as I can read the blurry print, a number like this starts to occur in about October 53, yet the list of serial numbers starts in Jan 52. I don't understand what I am being shown here.

Any thing you can say to enlighten me?
Thanks, in advance.
SK

Helpful hint:
If you click on the name of the posting person you get their email address for off-list communication. It works that way for me on this list. Hope this helps.

CORRECTION:
I made that last post without confiming that it was true in this instance. It appears that no email address was entered by S.Kelly on the posting form therefore my preceeding statement is wrong. Thanks to Rod for correcting my oversight. Bill S.
