Last week I told Burrhead that "I had determined that one of the brass seals under the exhaust manifold compression chamber caps broke. These seals appeared to be stamped brass, and I found them in my parts manual, but I worried that they may not be available at the New Holland dealer."

I did find them through New Holland quickly and the cost wasn't so high that it caused me to look elswhere. At about $6.00 each, I bought 3, installed them, and have no more exhaust leaks. The part # is still the same, but the metal gasket has chaged shape and base metal (much thinner).

This winter we will tear the "old girl" down and rebuild and replace whats needed (minor to major overhaul). It was nice that this repair was simple and allowed me to get the mowing and grading done around the farm before it gets any closer to winter. She is running great so I hate take her apart, but the leaks are pretty steady in some areas (transmission, hydraulics, gearbox). I will post pictures as soon as possible.
