I am still trying to find collets and rotocaps for my '63 FSM. Do you happen to know if there is an interchange between these parts and another engine, or have the specs so that I can get them machined myself??

I have heard that these parts are fairly easy to come by in Australia, but I cannot find a source for them anywhere!!

Thanks!
Mark

Ok,

I went face to face with my machine shop manager today. I only need to replace my exhaust valve collets and the rotocaps. The amount of wear difference between my old valves and the new ones I provided did not require a micrometer to see!!

Continued thanks to everone helping!!

Mark,

Don't know what part of Oz you are in, but you might give Patons a ring in Mornington, Victoria, or Tractor Replacements in Fyshwick, ACT. Both have a good range of Fordson parts, or can get them.

Collets = Valve retainer clips...some might call them locks!

Rotocaps are the little "Top Hats" that ride on the top of the exhaust valve stem.

I thought that was it but was'nt sure. I never had any trouble finding that sort of stuff at the machine shop.

I called the machine shop I use to find out. He gets his from Perfect Circle.

I'll surf some and see what I find.
