I have bought a 1954 Major Diesel. The injector pump lifters are stuck in the shut off position and we are having trouble getting them unstuck. We have tride soking the pump in a sovelent to loosen them and so far have hade no luck. The thought to boile it in hot water is our next option. Our thought is that the casing is alu. and the other parts are steal the heat would give the alu. a chance to expand and the other parts would free up. If any one has any other advice let me know. The vacume govener has ben removed so the diaphram will not be hurt by the boile water. I have also hear you can still get parts for these tractors in England and have one number to call. If any one has numders or e-mail adderss or web pages where you can order parts from plese let me know weather they are in England or the U.S I do not care. Think you for your time. John

I had the same problem used some PB blaster (penitrating oil) and an alluminum raingutter nail as a drift put the drift on the bottom of the spring did the job

Try contacting Diesel Specialties at www.dieselspeciaties.com. They had injectors for my 57 FMD
