I have a few questions on the Ford/ Fordson Super Majors. I have seen a number of pictures with the headlamps in the grille. I have seen an original Ford brochure for the New Fordson Super Major (dated 1/1960) in which the headlamps are in the grille. I have seen pictures of purported 1963 Models with the headlamps in th grille. The one I own was bult in November 1961. It was originally sold in the US in July or August of 1962. It still has much of it's original paint, which as you can see from the picture is in the Ford Grey and D Blue. It NEVER had headlamps in the Grille. It may have had them attached to the side of the Radiator Surround, as there are two holes, one on each side that appear to be a mounting location. Also the 1960 I saw had Fordson on the side of the Hood. On mine as you can clearly see are the letters FORD stamped into the hood sides. I also understand the difference between Model Year and Production Date. When did Ford Tractors break their Model Year? Was it at July 31 / August 1 as they do much of the other Ford Products? What other changes were done on the model year change overs? What differences were there between the "USA" delivered tractors and those delivered elsewhere? Thanks! I will look forward to the different rplies. Bill / Eaglewerks
