I have 62' Dexta. Hopefully the battteries are run down because of lack of use this winter. It has two 6 volt batteries in series to make 12 volts. Can I jump start it with a 12 volt system(ie.. a pick-up truck) or will I cause damage?

Two 6 volt batteries hooked up in series gives you 12 volts,my dexta has a 12 volt system,i believe they all came that way.If two batteries are hooked up parallel, then that gives double the amps with the voltage remaining that of one battery.so, go ahead and jumpstart with your truck
