In reading your posts I agree that you must be the guru that I seek. Do you have the lubrication specs for trans and rear end? 1960 Dexta.
I just bought the tractor 2 days ago. Runs well but there is a slight leak around the PTO shaft and the level is low. The trans was over full and really milky (so there is water). I want to add to or change both but I'm getting conflicting info on the proper oils to use. One site says 90 SAE in trans, another says 30 WT. I want to use the RIGHT oil. No clue about Rear end.
Can you help? I sure would appreciate it. Thanks. Bill in Central NY

How about trans? Thanks for the rear end. I think I can just top that off cause it seems to be clean.

Bill, My Dexta workshop manual says for both Dexta and Super Dexta;-

Rear Axle Lubrication. Capacity 34 pints. Temp above 20F 30HD SAE Viscosity Temp below 20F 20HD " " " or 20W/30 HD for both.

Engine Oil Capacity 12 imp pints, (6.82 ltrs) Temp below 20F SAE 10HD 20F TO 90F SAE 20 HD Above 90F SAE 30 HD.

Hope this solves your problem
Regards,
Pete.
