FMD bushings

’56 FMD,Slowly working to fix up my Fordson (great tractor), I have the following problem with bushings (besides being all shot!). The local dealer was only able to locate the small spindle arm bushing ($15.96 for 2) and the LOWER main spindle bushing ($13.84 for 2). I am located in LaCrosse, WI.

1. Is the UPPER main spindle bushing the same as the lower? He said it is a different part number that was unavailable, but we both wonder if that could be due to it being the same.
2. Does anyone know of a place to get the bushings or the dimensions of the them to match for the following:

a. Upper main spindle bushing if it is not the same as lower.

b. Trunnion pin bushing (& pin) (I would call it center front axle pin).

c. Bushing for the back connection of the radius rod, about 18” behind front axle.

3. Also, the dealer has no idea what the generic part numbers would be (or dimensions) of the bushing and 2 bearings shown to be on each of the two point lift arms. Again mine are so shot I am sure I won’t be able to get part numbers or realistic dimensions from them. He said parts are unavailable.

As always, thanks again for the help in advance. Someday I hope to be knowledgeable enough to help someone else out like I have been helped from this discussion board.

The spindle bushings are the same in dimentions but the upper should have a blind end lubrication groove on the upper side. That's what the shop manual shows. Make sure you ream them after instalation.
For the rest I'm sorry dont have a parts manual
Found some numbers on the spindle bushing
see link Nothing runs like a..... Major! Thats right

That was very helpful. Thanks. If would be nice to find a supplier in the northern hemisphere with that great of a web site. Almost have all the parts I need now. Ordered new tires today. Hope to sandblast rims and front axle while they are off.

Thanks again.

Bruce
