Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone has ever modified the hyraulic system of the fordson so that if you are using an external system (eg. front end loader, post rammer) you don't have to have the linkage in the up position. It is a little frustrating when you are using a post rammer and the unit lifts up and down when the weight is lifted.
Could anyone who has done this modification, if at all possible, to let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Shane.

Shane,

The lift can be fixed with lock bars from the link ends to the centre link. This is the way hedge cutters etc were controled.

If you have the later type Super Major hydaulics, the auxillary services control locked the lift but again, in certain circumstances locking bars could be used. The centre link piviot had to be fixed by fitting pins in both the piviot holes in the rock arm on the tractor.

regards
Brian
