I have a Fordson E27N major, TVO. I have recently been running on petrol ,but have a new problem. The tractor starts but after about 5 mins begins to run roughly, then goes down to 3 cylinders then 2 cylinders, then cuts out. Is this lilkely to be a problem somewhere in the fuel supply? What is the most likely cause and remedy?

If you still are running with the magneto system and not konverted to ordinary 12v coilsystem the magneto gets old and looses the power so the spark faint out after a while when the engine gets warm, this problem comes if the the cylinders in the engine is a little worn out(Sorry about the english)in the same time as the comshaft is worn.I BET it is the first cylinder and sparkplug NO1 closest to the coolingsystem and radiator that
gets black and "Faint out"first.
DO THIS!!
Start with that you try to find a better magneto or convert to 12v system, check the camshaftlift on all cylinders kompression should be 4,8 for gasoline engine and 4,3 for the carozene and sparkplug 0,7mm,CHAMPION C5 or C4.
If this does,nt work you probably have to 'fix'the engine
