My FPM suffers from oil transfer between gear boxes. So far I have renewed the two lips seals in the PTO box which was ok untill I engaged the PTO.
I next had the PTO shaft ground down by .010" to bring back the the shaft surface. Also a new twin lip seal was fitted. Same result in that every thing is OK untill I do some work (ie mowing) when the primary gear box oil level drops and the rear transmission leval rises.

Can any body help?

Check the breather in the top of the gearbox. It may be blocked preventing the expanded air from escaping from within the gearbox when it warms up, thus forcing oil through the transaxle seal into the transaxle. If you have a pulley fitted, oil will probably be forced past this seal as well.
The breather replaces one of the bolts on the top of the gearbox, under the fuel tank. When removing the breather use a piece of wire to make sure the breather has not been fitted to a blind hole by mistake.
Let me know how things work out!
Regards,
Mark.

hallo there only thing i can think of if the bearings are vorn or oil is no good then the seals may be getting to hot and burning out.
