Dexta pivot pin lube

can anyone tell me if the pivot pin in front axle has a grease fitting. if it has were is it? if not how do you grease it? thanks Jerry

Jerry it does'nt have one unless somebody did a modification on it. It's easy to put one in it, but if you put a new pin and bushing in it you probly won't ever wear it out again anyway.

When you re-bush the pivot be sure to grind the caps on the torsion rods to tighten the knuckles up, and it will take all the fore & aft shift motion out of the axle and it will save the pivot pin and bushing.

It wouldn't hurt to add some extra oil to the gearbox and the rear differential. Don't top 'em off, though.

Filling the steering gear can be a real challenge without taking it apart. It can be done, though, see my site (FAQ).
