I recentley purchased a Dexta and I am not sure where to find serial #'s or what they would mean if I do find them. All I found so far is a plate that says it was made in London. It is a 4 cyl gasser. I need to locate some information on the year it was made and the model that it is so I can find a manual for it. It need s some TLC. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Quoting from the Fordson Dexta workshop manual:
Whenever reference is made in the Manual to right-hand or left-hand side of the tractor this is as viewed from the driver's seat facing forward.
The tractor serial number is stamped on the left-hand side of the clutch housing/engine flange and is prefixed by the model number, i.e. 957E
Healthy discussions of serial # , parts # etc have occurred on this site. You may find more info there or by looking on Oscar's site
