Brake Cable Problem

I have just re-lined the LSR brake. I tried to lubricate the brake actuating cable, but discovered the following problem.
In the middle of the length of the outer cable, there is the small casting which takes the grease nipple. When I injected grease through the grease nipple, the grease came out of the join between the cable and the alloy casting, instead of lubricating the space between the inner and outer cables. Has anyone had experience repairing this type of problem. Do you need to silver-solder the joint, or can you use a modern epoxy joiner. I assume that the original manufacturing process, was some sort of crimping of the cable into the alloy block.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Regards,
Les Taylor, Brisbane, Australia.

Probably you best answer would be to replace cable. We have in stock at all times. Which side do you need-can supply either. Regards, LEO
