Both the the pto and the hydaulics quit working. The PTO shift lever seems to shift in and out though. Does this sound like transmission or clutch problems?(again)?
i installed a (very expensive) clutch a couple of years ago, and its been fine until now.

Sounds like the pto shaft may have broke. Either way you can tell by pulling the pto shaft.

Most of the time if it's the clutch it will give bad signals for at least a few times before it quits. Chatter or slippage usually goes on before the clutch fades out.

If it's the shaft you can grind about a 1/4" groove around the shaft and weld it back together. I've welded some here that have lasted for 15 years so far.

If it's jerked the clutch eye out you can get a heavier plate for the Dexta but I don't ever use them because they won't give in a bind and tranny shafts are hard to find.

Unfortunately,I wasn't driving it when it stopped. but it does make some awful squawks and squeals from the clutch area sometimes now. Plan of attack:
-drain tranny, pull PTO shaft and then split the tractor... again...I'll let you know.

I took the tractor apart on the weekend and found that out of 12 bolts holding the adapterplate to the engine only two were still there. The misalignment had broken the clutch plate hub off the friction plate, preventing drive to PTO and hydraulics. Only the loader frame was holding the tractor together. This will be part of my regular inpsections from now on... Thanks all...
