My customer has a Fordson Dexta with an 87mm
( 4 cyl ) Standard engine in it. Unlike it's brother the 85mm, It DOES run cam bearings. I am having great difficulty finding any. I am told that it would be equivalent to a Massey FE35.
If you can offer any assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.

Wendy,
You have a very rare tractor there. It is the Ferguson engine. This was made by the Standard Motor company for Ferguson so is the same engine. Ford only made a few of these and I had never seen one until a few weeks ago. Go to Oscars site, the links are here, a few pages back. On the site he has a report from Mark Pugh who has an absolute beauty and has done a lot of research on them. If Mark reads this he will E-Mail you I am sure and share his knowledge. I had some time talking to him and he knows a lot about these tractors. Ford denied making them but all have Ford numbers on them.
regards
Brian

Wendy, The Standard 87mm bore x 92mm stroke petrol or petrol/paraffin engine was certainly fitted to the Ferguson FE35 and 135 tractors. I've never, never heard of one being fitted to a Dexta, looks like youve got a hybrid there. I should think FE 35 cam bearings should do the trick. Good luck Peter.
