hello,
can anyone tell me any info they may have regarding the colpin mag chargers for fordson internal mags? my father just bought one and we would like to make a replica using current technology stuff, i realize that it is basically just an ammeter with switches controlling a 4 way bridge rectifier. you have to use a compass to align the coils with the ends of the magnets as well. the "jars" as they are described or rectifiers are filled with a powder that you need to add water to in order for them to work. what is the powder? any thoughts would be appreciated. i will have pics posted today sometime on my site: http://people.ne.mediaone.net/fouriwilly/ford5.htm thanks for your time.
