I do not mean to be hogging things here, but have a Q. re. my bent push-rods.

Tractor is th FSM in nearby threads.
Was started using decompression lever for years.
5 of the push-rods are bent.
Q; Should I straighten them, or find replacements?
If straightened, will they bend again with use?

Thank you in advance!

Rich.

Thanks for the answer Mike.

When the rods get bent like this from using the decompression to spin over engine to start, does it generally hurt the valves or pistons?
I ask because one of the push-rods has the ball at lower end a bit flattened.

Not sure if I should pull the head off, take a look and do valves, or just try it & see how she runs.

Thank you for the input, If I can't find any straight ones, I'll attack these!
Cheers,

R.
