Would like to know approx. year and model if possible. Also does it appear to have any value as a restorable tractor? How about for parts? It's probably about 95% complete.

As a collector and restorer of many years, a lot of the fun is getting these old machines to run again. The problem I started to run into a number of years ago is that if you do not run them often, then you start to run into problems with bad gas and oxidized points. Sometimes dirty carbuetors. After a while you feel like you are doing it all over again. I weeded a bunch out just because it was becomming a chore to keep them all running. It is no fun trying to start something the day before a show and having to do all this stuff just to get it on the trailer just because you have not run it in a while. Most of my stuff was in the 1930's. I kept the favorites that I could keep up with. Maybe you are better off with some that do not run so that you can dream instead of crank. :) Dave!

Just about any old tractor is worth restoring if you are doing it for the pleasure of and not to make a profit. As you said yourself, you have more money in your F-20 that may ever expect to get out of it but to pay back is the pleasure and pride when it is done. I have 14 tractors in various stages of deterioration/disrepair and I feel like I should get rid of some of them but every time I go to the barn and think about which ones to sell all I can see is the fun I will have while restoring them. So far I have not parted with any of them. Good Luck, Rocky

I would only do what it takes to get it running. No paint, keep the rear tires. The rear fenders, if you can find them would probably not fit. I'd rig something up for my own safety. Just put better tires on the front. Beware of split rims. Original steel wheels aren't hard to find, but then you can't drive in parades.

Man why would a guy think of parting out a nice old piece of history such as that ? Sell as it is or restore & show it . I'm sure showing it will get the word around & a buyer who appreciates & values these tractors will come along . Many old vehicles & pieces of equipment get sold at shows . If you advertise it over on the ntractor board , someone there may be interested in it . God bless, Ken

I am only trying to figure if it's worth restoring. I love tractors and have2 of them. I'm currently restoring a 38 Farmall F-20. This Fordson has been sitting for years in the same exact spot and I wanted to make an offer on it. Just needed a bit of guidance on value and what model and year it is. I would never part a tractor. I paid $300 for my F-20 and have over $3,000 in it so far and I'm only half way there. More than it's worth but that's OK.

Ok. Maybe someone over on the ntractor board could give you some help with it . If ya want that website, email me at callj.j.s@verizon.net . In 2000 , I saved a 1952 8n Funk conversion from further deteriation in the weeds . Paid too much to begin with ( $1,000.00 ) & have about $12,000.00 in it so far & still not done with it . But I've had fun & taught myself alot by doing it all alone . I'll never get my money out of it but knowing that I can rebuild an engine & other parts plus get it back together , makes it worth it all . Good luck & God bless, Ken

If the manifold and air washer are correct it looks to be a 1926 or 27 model F made in the USA. The original rear steel wheels were cut down and later rims welded on to put it on rubber.
