Some time ago, Jack Heald wrote an article for Antique Power entitled Fordson Locomotives. There was a single photo of a McFarlane-Eggers rail tractor make from a Fordson F. Looks like a well-restored machine in someone's private collection. I'm trying to get more photos and/or drawings to make a 3/4" scale model. Anyone have any idea as to the owner of that tractor, or know of any sources of data?

This caught my attention because my last name is McFarlane. Very interesting. Wonder if it was any distant relatives ?

Here's another Fordson set up to run on rails. Except in this case it was wood timber rails.

My grandfather and great-grandfather used this to haul logs to their steam sawmill. Had about 2 miles of wood train track.
