I just replaced the crankshaft rear oil seal on my 1994 Super Dexta.
Having difficulty in reconnecting the engine to the gear box assembly.
The manual says line up the splines, but not is not clear how to do this.
It gets within about a inch of closing at the flanges but will not go this last inch.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Sir
Replaced mine without a pilot shaft. You can do it. I actually did it in the dark, (Power outage). I had the back end of tractor jacked up and solid on blocks. The front end was on a hydraulic floor jack on wheels. Yon can push, with some help if you got it the front half of tractor up to where the shaft meets the female spline. Use your hand (you can get it in there to line it up the teeth and spline). Use your eyeball to get it as close to the same level front and rear. Then just start pushing and wiggling. You may need to put in gear and turn the rear wheel to get it all lined up correctly. I got real close but could not get it the last 1/2 inch together. The jack would not lower or raise in small enough quantity to get it that last minute needed. I finally just let a little air out of the front tires and pushed again. Bingo, it went into place. Just takes some fooling with and you'll get it.

Sometimes you can turn the clutch shaft by twisting on the pto shaft.

sounds like pilot shaft is not aligned with pilot bearing . clutch is not centered.
