Hi all,
I have a couple questions: First,I am currently looking at what I am told is a Fordson super major. It has a Ford FEL, and a Ford hoe on back. Tractor and loader look to be in real good shape,800.00 just spent on injector pump. ok tires, hoe looks to have been used hard, lots of welds, and hoses are cracked. Everything works well though, tractor runs smooth, and doesn't smoke. 6f/2r, with locking diff. Pwr.strg. Guy wants $5000.00 firm. Does this seem reasonable? I am only using it on a hobby farm. second question is: the tractor is white, with white wheels. The loader and hoe are ford yellow. All the FSM tractors I have seen have been Blue with orange wheels. Just wondering as to the proper colors. Any major problems to look out for?? I have no experience with Fordsons. I really appreciate your help. Thank you in advance!Steve

most likely if it's yellow it's the industrial version of the fordson, does it lack a 3-point hitch? if so then theyellow would be correct don't know about the white wheels?

Thanks Hammerhead, The tractor and wheels are white, only the loader and hoe are ford yellow, there is a FSM currently listed on ebay that is the same color white, but it has the orange wheels. This tractor does have three point hitch, and pto as well. I'm confused by the color differences, and just want to make sure of what I'm looking at before I spend any $$$
Thanks again!
Steve
