Due to an inoperative 3 point hitch, I decided to lift the back cover and replace all the seals and O'rings. I drained all the oil, cleaned up the crud around the bottom filter, flushed the entire system, removed and cleaned all the valves, replace seals/o'rings and refilled with 30 wt oil. everything was working well for a while. Eventually something happened and the 3 pt hitch would not stay in the up position while the clutch was pressed.

any thoughts on how I can diagnose what could be wrong?

Used the tractor this weekend. Overall the hydraulics worked great. The only issue I had was that when the tractor was turned off, the implements would slowly drop to th ground. It looks like the delrin bushing in the hydraaulic check valve is bad. where can I buy a new one of these. The new holland dealer wants to sell me the entire check valve assembly which is was too expensive. I would even consider a used one if it is in decent shape. thanks

IF EVERYTHING IS GENERALY WORKING OK AND WHEN YOU SHUT DOWN IT LEAKS OFF SLOWLY,THEN MY FIRST GUESS WOULD BE THE CONTROL VALVE SEEPING FROM WEAR.YOU COULD ALSO HAVE A BAD SEAT IN THE PUMP PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE.ALSO KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU HAVE PUT 30 WT OIL WHERE 80 OR 90 IS RECOMENDED.JUST GUESSING, BUT THAT COULD MAKE A DIFERENCE ON HOW FAST IT LEAKS OFF.IT SHOULDNT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE ON SHUTDOWN IF YOUR PTO IS ENGAGED OR NOT.

I'VE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS FOR YEARS WITH MY 3 POINT. DOES IT HOLD POSITION BETTER WHEN THE SELECTOR LEVER IS PULLED OUT FOR YOUR REMOTE?BEST I CAN TELL IT'S ONE OF 4 PROBLEMS. SUPPLY TUBE,ONE OR BOTH RELIEF VALVES,SEAL BETWEEN MACHINED SURFACE ON CYLINDER AND CAP OR THE VALVE SPOOL IS LEAKING.YOU CAN REPLACE THE VALVE SPOOL,I THINK THERE COLOR CODED FOR DEGREES OF WEAR.I'VE SEEN THEM ON CNH WEBSITE.IF YOU FIX IT, ID BE REAL INTERESTED IN WHAT IT IS. BEST OF LUCK.

Actually, part of my previous post is misleading. The lift will not stay up after I turn off the tractor with the pto clutch engaged. it drifts down slowly. any suggestions
